To produce something different and something quite unique is every musician’s dream. Yet three experienced musicians have achieved just that. Combining musical prowess and sequencing technology - Vocalist JODI BECKWORTH, Bass Player / Vocalist ROD KENYON,
and Guitarist / Vocalist COLIN LAGING have joined forces to present Girl Friday.
Founded in November 1998, Girl Friday has formed a close working bond, with the band's music covering classic "Party Hits" from the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s.
Fronting Girl Friday on lead vocals is JODI BECKWORTH. Exuding dynamic vocals and charismatic stage presence, JODI is the epitome of professionalism and one of the Industry’s most accomplished performers. Vibrant and energetic, perhaps best describe JODI’S onstage performance.
Bassist for Girl Friday is ROD KENYON, who in the early eighties supported Little River Band, Billy Miller, Peter Cupples, Geisha, Gary Young’s Hot Dog, Mark Gillespi, Uncanny X-Men, Goanna and New Z. In 1984-86, ROD toured with Television and Recording artist Don Gibson and released an album – "A Little Bit of Country But A Lot Of Rock and Roll". During that time ROD supported international artists Ricky Nelson, Herman's Hermits, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Freddy and the Dreamers, and The Drifters.
ROD also appeared with Australian performers John Farnham, Marcia Hines, Lucky Grills, The Four Kinsmen, Jan Adele, Bill & Boyd, Denis Walter and Chris Kirby.
Between 1987-89, ROD toured and recorded with rock band Suburban Boyz, releasing a single – "You Gotta Play to Win".
From 1990-98, ROD toured extensively throughout Victoria and interstate with Too Hot To Handle.

Fronting Girl Friday on lead vocals is ELISE CORTESI. Exuding dynamic vocals and charismatic stage presence, ELISE is the epitome of professionalism. Performing since she was eight years old, ELISE has worked with coverbands and duos in both Perth and Geelong. After accumulating years of experience in musical theatre productions, TV and charity performances, ELISE'S onstage persona can perhaps be best described as vibrant and energetic. When not performing live, ELISE'S other true passion is teaching musical theatre with the Kate Daley School of Performing Arts.

Final member of Girl Friday is COLIN LAGING. A proficient musician, COLIN was founding member with prominent Geelong rock band Who Killed Kenny.
COLIN has been an important contributor to the Geelong music scene for many years and possesses that special ability to orchestrate a tasteful lead break or masterful chord on cue. When not performing live, COLIN can be found behind closed doors fine-tuning his chosen craft.
COLIN adds yet another dimension to an already exciting line-up.
